53rd National Council Meeting & 113rd Anniversary Celebration

The 53rd National Council Meeting & 113th Anniversary Celebration gathered 122 delegates from 20 local YMCAs nationwide, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to education, collaboration, and community development.

Congressman Roman T. Romulo delivered the keynote address, sharing his vision and future plans for advancing education in the Philippines. His message provided inspiration and direction as YMCA Philippines continues to work toward Vision 2030.

On the second day, delegates attended the plenary session, where the National President and National General Secretary presented reports on the organization’s accomplishments and goals for the coming year. This was followed by updates on the 2023 Regional Workshop, presented by Ms. Ianne Christine J. Aquino, OIC-National Program Secretary.

In the evening, the Anniversary Program and Awards Ceremony, hosted by Ms. Rexie M. Castro, Principal IV of A. Mabini Elementary School, honored outstanding individuals and local YMCAs for their invaluable contributions. Among the awardees were the newly certified secretary, Mr. Jayson A. Noga, and recipients of the Best Performing YMCA, Active YMCA, and other outstanding YMCA awards.

The final day featured the opening of the YMCA and YWCA Week of Prayer, led by the North Luzon region. Delegates participated in a contemplative action organized by Mr. Juanito C. Bacani, General Secretary of the YMCA of Pangasinan.

The plenary session resumed with reports on the National Youth Assembly and the announcement of the winners of the YMCA of the Philippines YMPrint Promotional Video Contest.

Atty. Robert W. Raypon, Chair of the Performance Review Commission, presented the evaluation report and achievements of the YMCA of the Philippines for 2024, followed by the Nomination and Election Commission Report.
