Ms. Fetalvero wins 2nd time for World YMCA Executive Committee Position

The YMCA of the Philippines congratulates our very own Ms. Karren Joy Fetalvero on her re-election as a member of the Executive Committee for the World YMCA Council.

Ms. Fetalvero who also won her bid for the Executive Committee position term 2018-2022, has been involved for a long time with the YMCA Movement from being the President of the High School Youth (Hi-Y) club of the YMCA of Makati in 2010 to becoming an Intern for the Global Alternative Tourism Network (GATN) programme of the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs in 2017 as well as an Ex-Officio Member for the Federation of YMCA Philippines in 2018 up to present. She strives for a world where young people are encouraged to be bold and outspoken.

Presented by the Past President of the World YMCA and Co-Chair of the Election Committee Peter Posner together with Samira Traore, Member of the Election Committee, at the 20th World Council Meeting on July 6, 2022 10:30 PM (Manila Time), the 11 newly elected World YMCA Executive Committee members for the period 2022-2026 were officially introduced.

The officers are expected to carry out policy and specific instructions of the World Council, to complete all matters committed to its charge and to act with all the powers of the World Council. The new executive committee membership is comprised of 4 men and 7 women, with six members being 30 years of age or under and five who are over 30 years of age and a maximum of seven from the same gender.
